Sometimes words are too much. Even in prayer. Especially when adoring. Words can be inadequate to the moment's experience of God. They can interfere with an inner listening God connection. And...at certain times, life can be so intense or depleting that the idea of songs with lyrics is exhausting to consider and like gibberish to try to soak in. I learned this first hand following my first thyroid cancer surgery. I love to worship God. To sing Him songs which adore Him! (Can you tell, LOL?) But I couldn't. It was too much to handle. My body needed the energy which would have gone to lyrics to just focus on healing. But I wanted to be in that prayer-connected place which music so beautifully facilitates. He laid on my heart to create No Words albums. Here is the first.
