Hymn--the word comes from Latin tracing back to a Greek word meaning song or ode of praise to God. Through the centuries many beautiful hymns have been written. In order to honor the continuity of praise coming down through the ages and join in the stream of that praise, the Hymns-One album presents new arrangements for traditional hymns. A particular focus of collecting the hymns to be features was to hymns which are currently lesser known as well as deliver translations which are humbly submitted as closer to original meaning for several hymns which originally were in Welsh or Gaelic. More original (and meaningful lyrics) for Were You There and O Sacred Head were also sought.
